📌 Foro: Giving Opinions About Jobs – My Participation

🌱 1. How can you be environmentally friendly at work?

I work in a health company (IPS) in the city of Medellín 🏥. I think we must be environmentally friendly at work by doing small actions every day 🌎. For example, we must use yellow paper only when it is necessary 📄, and we should use digital files instead of printing 💻. We can collect plastic caps and batteries in an eco-point ♻️. We have to turn on the air conditioning at 8 a.m. and turn it off when it is not needed ❄️. We must also turn off the printers, lights, and computers at the end of the shift 💡🖨️. These actions can help save energy and reduce waste 🌿.

🌼 2. What kind of incentives could a green company offer to its employees?

A green company could offer many good incentives 🌍. For example, employees could receive bonuses if they create and apply sustainable ideas at work 💡💰. The company should also give discounts for public transportation 🚍 or help people who use bicycles 🚴. In some offices, there are bicycle parking areas to promote this healthy and ecological habit 💪🌳.

In the place where I work, it is a company policy to work near home 🏡 for health reasons and to support the family-responsible company (EFR) program 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Workers who live close to their job help reduce pollution and improve their quality of life 💚. Companies must support these good habits to protect the environment and promote well-being 🌎✨.

🌿 3. In what other ways could businesses involve their employees in environmental issues?

Companies could organize workshops and meetings every four months to talk about energy saving and recycling 🗓️♻️. They should use ecological soaps and cleaners 🧼🌸 to reduce contamination. They could also put stickers near light switches to remind people to turn off the lights when they are not in use 💡. Businesses have to teach workers how to use energy and water correctly 💧⚡. Employees must feel part of the solution and not only observers 🙌. These actions help create an environmental culture inside the company 🌻💚.

📺🧠 Media Manipulation, Advertising and the Hidden Grammar Behind Publicity

📺🧠 Media Manipulation, Advertising and the Hidden Grammar Behind Publicity (Critical Thinking and Media Literacy Post) In this learning activity, I explored how modern societies are constantly shaped by the messages we receive through advertising, mass media and digital platforms. 📱📰 After studying media literacy in the SENA material and reading about manipulative systems in 1984 by George Orwell, I realized how similar the mechanisms are. 📘👁️ Even though 1984 presents a dystopian society controlled by the “Ministry of Truth”, where language and history are rewritten to manipulate people, today’s world uses much more subtle methods—colors, images, slogans, editing and emotional triggers that influence decisions without us noticing. 🎨🖼️🔊 Advertising is not “just advertising”. It is a grammar of persuasion—a structured way of speaking to the subconscious mind. 🧩🧠✨ 🎭 Advertising as a System of Manipulation Modern media rarely shows reality as it is. Accordi...
